Kingsmill Lane

Kingsmill Lane is one of the old roads in Painswick, running parallel to Painswick Stream.

North side: from Tibbiwell

Dormy House, previously known as Stornoway (to 1984), was built in the late 1970s.
Beech Cottage was built in the early 1970s.
Grey Owl Cottage was built in the late 1980s.
Bankside, which was built in the early 1980s, and Woodside, which was built in the late 1980s, were both on the site of the old gas works.

North side: from Knapp Lane

Robin Hill was built in 1953.
Abacus House, previously known as Topsy Turvy (to the second half of the 1990s) was built in early 1980s.
Hillside, previously known as the Small House (1963-1973) and Rocky Mount (1948) and Hale Lea were both built in about 1915.
1 Swiss Cottages and Darkest Peru, previously known as 2 Swiss Cottages (1980), were built in about 1910.
Stone Rise, previously known as Windyridge (to 1963), and Greystoke were built in about 1910.
Field Dale was built in about 1909.
Mill View was built in 2006.
Rockleigh was built in about 1907.

Millbrook House was built in the mid 1960s.
Nettles was built in the early 1980s.
Capp Mill. The Mill existed in 1622, the house is dated 1678.
Willowbridge was built in the mid 1960s.
Maple Cottage was built in the late 1980s.
Spring Cottage and Painswill Mill Cottage were built around 1800.

South side: from Knapp Lane

Painswick Mill, previously known as The Rockery (to the 1930s), was built 1634.
Meadowbank was built about 1960.
Silvercrest, Gormay, Troutbeck and Rushground House were built in the mid 1960s.
Otter's Pool and Carsebreck were built in the late 1980s.
Wheat Leaze was built in the early 1990s.

South side: from Stepping Stone Lane

Tilling was built in about 2003, on the site of an older building called Valley View.
Mac's Cottage can be seen on the 1885 map.
Kings Mill Cottage was built 200 years ago.
Part of Stepping Stone Cottage was built c1840.
