New Street

New Street was created in the early 15th century. The 18th and 19th century facades of many of the buildings were added to older buildings.

Northwest side:

Nutgrove House includes The Pharmacy.
Madison House, previously known as The Country Elephant (1997) and as The Gate House (1973), was built late 18th century.
Post Office was reputably built in 1478. Its timber frame was exposed in c1933.

Alley way leading to Compton House, built between 1954 and 1971, and 1-2 Spring Cottages.
Beaconsfield House.
Fiery Beacon has a Tudor Gothic facade of c1840.
Beacon House was built 1765-6.
Dynevor House is dated 1801.
St Andrews is dated 1840.
Rossway House.
Stonechat Cottage.
Falcon Hotel is dated 1711.
Yew Tree House.
Hazelbury House has a early 18th century facade.

Southeast side:

Cloth Hall, formerly known as Cotswold House (to 2006), was built in 18th century.
Woods Mill and The Georgian House are in Bell Yard.

Painswick Woodcrafts was built between 1923 and 1973.
Patchwork Mouse.
Canton House.
New Street House was built between 1973 and 1988.
The Old House.

Murrays Estate Agency, a former Baptist Chapel, originally built 1806 for Wesleyans.
Junction with Victoria Street
St Mary's Church, is mainly 15th century. Building started c1378 on the site of a Norman Church.
Bus stop was built in 1951.
Lych Gate was built in 1901-2.
