Upper Washwell

Upper Washwell was part of a field and allotment gardens in 1923. Houses 19-30 originally were part of Pullens Road (numbered 20-9 respectively). Upper Washwell was created as is now in about 1951.

1A and 1B originally housed the first purpose-built Telephone Exchange in Painswick. The foundation stone for 1A was laid in 1936; 1B was added in about 1959.
1-18 were built in about 1951.
19-24 were built in about 1935.
25-30 were built in about 1936.
