Inscriptions on tombstone are largely illegible
The panel in shadow on the left of the photo starts with the words:
Sacred
To The Memory of
Henry Greening xxxxx, of this
Town, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx day
of June [1806] A[ged 78] Years.
The plate beneath reads:
Here lieth the body of Ann, the wife of
Henry Greening, late of this Town, who
was buried 27th Janry 1769. Also
William, the son of Henry Greening [and]
Ann his second wife, died an infa[nt on]
7th Oct 1773, and was here in[terred.]
(The bracketed words are covered by the tombstone and may therefore be incorrect.)
